1. Controller
Responsible for data processing on this website is greenkeeper GmbH (see Imprint).
2. Hosting & Security
We host our website with Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen). When visiting the website, log files (IP address, browser, OS) are automatically recorded for security and stability.
3. Google Services
We use Google Workspace for email communication and internal organization (Google Ireland Limited). In addition, we use Google Analytics to analyze the use of our website. IP addresses are anonymized.
Payment Processing
Payment processing takes place via the certified service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. We do not store full credit card details ourselves, but only use encrypted tokens to assign the transaction (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Accounting & Taxes
For proper bookkeeping and invoicing, we use the software Lexware. Your invoice data (name, address, purchased certificates) are stored in accordance with statutory tax retention periods (GoBD).
Blockchain Technology
Our greenfee® system uses a blockchain to guarantee the forgery protection and uniqueness of the CO₂ certificates. Only transaction hashes, timestamps, and token IDs are stored on the 'Public Ledger'. No personal plain text data is stored on the blockchain (pseudonymization).
Public Registry
To validate retirement, certificates are listed in the public registry. This ensures that CO₂ compensations cannot be sold twice. Display is pseudonymized via the certificate ID by default, unless you have explicitly agreed to public naming.
4. Transactional Emails (Resend)
We use Postmark (ActiveCampaign) for system emails to users (e.g., password reset) and Resend for internal transmission of Wizard requests to our team.
5. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Berlin) or Resend for sending. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the newsletter.
